So, I was so embarrassed by my first post that, when I changed clothes to meet some girlfriends later, I just HAD to repost with my not-as-schlubby-but-still-casual evening look. :)
Hope that's a little closer to ADC standards. :)

This is along the lines of something I would wear for Easter. I try to keep it very simple whenever I do anything with pastels, which is almost never, but I sort of love this dress. Isn't it the perfect Easter dress?

As hard as I tried, I couldn't take these seriously enough to create an outfit, so I just made a list of some gross items:

I tried to do something different, so it might not be as neat/matchy of a look...

Whenever I'm at home I'm usually in a tank/camisole and PJ or yoga pants, so when it's time to go out I throw on a cardigan and jeans. I had a cardigan phase a year or two ago, so it's more of a habit now... :-p

How many times a year (or for some of us, a lifetime) could you get away with wearing a Galliano? It's considerably more nontraditional, but if you're going to go all out, it only makes sense to do it for an Oscars Party! Not to overdo the look with the dramatic dress, I kept it pretty monochromatic in neutral beige and bronze.

I included a pregnancy-appropriate dress and a post-pregnancy one. I love her red carpet style because she usually rocks one of the most unique looks of the night, typically something with a little metallic on it, also. I tried to stick with her unconventional shapes/patterns and of course a little gold detailing.

Here's my look. I made it more casual - but still event appropriate - by pairing it with some beaded sandals. The total look is right around $80.
