Okay poopsies, tonight I made my first Poulet Roti, or for all you non-Frenchies that's Roast Chicken. I've decided that since I'm the Queen of fashion I now want to conquer the cooking world. And of course it has to be French! So I'm sitting there looking at my petite little poulet, tres chic, and what do I see sticking out of the top of it? A big red ugly long curved thing. What the hell is it. Well I come to find out that my chicken still has it's HEAD on. And there is not a servant in the house to wrench it off for me. So I, Anna, goddess of generally everything, found myself snapping the neck, which took a good deal of twisting and pulling to get it off. And let me tell you it was liberating. Just to know I can do it. And the chicken was the best I've ever had but I really must thank Ms. Julia Child for that.

UPDATE: My french "Poulet Roti". Here are pics of my beautiful little chicken without its head. Hubby decided we should take a pic after he had cut it up. He said he could make it look just like it did before he cut it. Um. Okay. It was so pretty. :le sigh:


And I transferred it to this platter, per instructions, then cooked this sauce in the pan I cooked the chicken in right over a burner, adding broth and chives to the onions, carrots, sage, and chicken juices that were already in there. So. freakin. good. Really expected it to not turn out well at all. Smiling

Scruffles favorite food is chicken and he got to watch the whole process. Yummy!! He loved it!

#1 This had a gorgeous pop of emerald green with classy accessories and a touch of jungle fever, which I always love. Reowww!

#2 This look was smoky and soft with a gorgeous two layer dress and lavender and lucite accessories at such great prices! Fantastic!

#3 This look was smoking hot and on fire with a crinkly fuchsia dress and black tulle petticoat and gets even racier with the leopard accessories! I might have to reoww reoww twice!!! Hot!

#4 This one had a different twist, har, har, with a little strapless dress and gold wraparound metal belt! Chic! The earrings on this ensemble were so full of life and really stole the show! Great look all around!

#5 Ratatouille! Eggplant casserole! Also the color of the next dress which I think is gorgeous! And it is set off with golden tones and some deep lavender which is so unique. Lastly we have gold metallic strappies with reoww bottoms! Love it!!!!
